The department will hold three workshops from Nov 29-Dec 1, with the first workshop including Spanish translation and the last including the option to attend digitally.
Attendees will learn about the types of projects and activities eligible for the CDBG program, as well as the basic requirements of the program. CNCS staff will be on hand to answer questions and explain how the process works.

What are CDBG funds?
The Community Development Block Grant Program by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development was developed to support community development activities across the county.
The program supports activities that address public needs including infrastructure, economic development, public facilities installation, community centers, housing rehabilitation, public services and more.
Funds must benefit low and moderate-income people, aid in the prevention or elimination of blight or meet an urgent need in the community.
Applications for CDBG funds will open on Dec 5 at 8 a.m. and are due on Jan 10 by 2:00 p.m. The application, as well as other resources, can be found on CNCS’s website.
